Philippa Toulson and Eddie Upton write:

“We are writing to bring you up to date with plans for the forthcoming Three Valleys Perambulation. and, for those who have expressed an interest in participating in at least some of the walk, to ask you a few important questions.

We start late afternoon on Friday 24th May and finish on Monday 27th May. The itinerary is as follows:

Friday 24th May – a short stroll from Bradford Abbas church to Thornford.

Meal available at Thornford Rectory and overnight accommodation in Thornford School.

Saturday 25th May – Thornford, Beer Hackett (breakfast), Yetminster, Ryme Intrinseca

(lunch), Chetnole and Leigh where an evening meal and overnight accommodation will

  be available in Leigh church.

Sunday 26th May – Folke (breakfast at Folke Golf Club then special service in Folke

Church at 9.30am), Caundle Marsh, Bishops Caundle (lunch), Holwell, Pulham and

Glanvilles Wootton where an evening meal and overnight accommodation will be

  available in Village Hall.

Monday 27th May – Holnest (breakfast), Hermitage, Hilfield (lunch), Batcombe and

Hilfield Friary for celebratory service and meal.

You are very welcome to walk for as much or as little of the walk as you wish. We will be walking on a mixture of footpaths and roads.

There are a couple of occasions when we will be crossing main roads and we will have to walk along the A3030 for about 200 yards as we approach Bishops Caundle.

We will have support vehicles which can transfer luggage and will be able to transport you back to the point where you joined the walk.

Most of the walk is fairly flat though there are a few hills.

Obviously you will need to be prepared for a variety of weather! If you plan to stay the night you will need to bring your own bed, bedding and washing things. Our support vehicles will also be able to transport your beds, bedding and overnight luggage to the next night’s venue.

We will have to ask for some payment for meals and suggest the following donations - £5 breakfast, £3 sandwich lunch, £5 evening meal.

Please will you respond to the following questions:

1.    Which parts of the walk do you plan to undertake?

2.    What meals would you like and do you have any particular dietary needs?
