SATURDAY 27th FEBRUARY

ON-LINE at  8.30am

Dear Friends,

Not at Folke Golf Club, but online this Saturday morning. John Rennie, who now leads a Benefice in Hampshire, has invited us to join with their group on Saturday morning on Zoom. All the details are below, and he tells me that some ladies join them too. If you would like to join, either email John or his coordinator, or let me know and I will send your email details across. General Dannatt was Head of the Army until he retired.

It should be an interesting morning.

Trusting that you are keeping safe and well.

Best wishes,  Keith

Our speaker is General The Lord Dannatt.

He will speak under the title “ Leadership in Turbulent Times.”

I have known Richard for 50 years both as a friend and Christian colleague.

He served for forty years in the Regular Army retiring in 2009 as the Chief of the General Staff.

His service took him on operations and deployments to Northern Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.

At various times he served on the staff of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Army Staff College at Camberley and the Ministry of Defence in London.

On retiring, he was appointed as the Constable of HM Tower of London and in 2011 entered the House of Lords as an independent Crossbench Peer.

He is a frequent commentator on defence and security issues in the media and has written two books: “Leading from the Front”, an autobiography, and “Boots on the Ground – Britain and her Army since 1945”.

He is involved in many charities and is a co-Founder of Help for Heroes.  He is currently Chairman of the National Emergencies Trust.

World Day of Prayer 2021

“Build on a Strong Foundation”

Friday 5th March 2021

Save the date!

As I write this article for the magazine the year has just turned and COVID-19 is still controlling much of our lives. Although we are encouraged by the prospect of vaccinations bringing the pandemic under control, I cannot see that we will be in a position to meet together as we usually do by the beginning of March.

I have been wondering how we could still celebrate with the women of Vanuatu, who have compiled the service this year. The service sheets etc. were sent out some time ago, so my plan is to broadcast the service on Zoom.
In previous years we have had meetings and a time of preparation. This may not be practical this year, but I know many of you have been willing to take part in the past and hope you may do so again by reading. We may be unable to do it exactly as it is in the book, but we will follow most of it.

Anyone who is interested in taking part or simply joining us on the day please contact

for further updates.

                                                  Many thanks
